Alzheimer’s Disease is the 6th leading cause of death and is a public health emergency. While the underlying cause remains a subject of debate, the importance of connections, modifiable risk factors, and lifestyle interventions is undeniable. Initiating brain care early takes perseverance and discipline, but the long-term benefits are profound. You will be challenged and revered for your role as a healthcare provider, and you’ll recognize how your skills not only transform patients' lives but may also serve as a crucial defense against one of the most tragic diseases in our history.

• Understand how the mouth and the brain are truly connected.

• Recognize the scope of bacteria, yeast, and viruses in development of Alzheimer’s disease.

• Specify how dental assessment protocols can protect and improve brain health.

About our speaker, Anne O. Rice:

Anne has been a clinical dental hygienist for over 30 years, is a speaker, writer, and consultant. She created Oral Systemic Seminars in 2017 which she now devotes her time, focus and study primarily to dementia prevention and sleep hygiene. She is a preceptor of the Bale/Doneen method for cardiovascular disease prevention, a Certified Dementia Practitioner and in 2020 Anne became certified as a Longevity Specialist with the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation which she has developed curriculum and presented for. Anne has an oral systemic column in RDH magazine, and written for Today’s RDH, and others. She has been featured on several podcasts and is on the advisory board of RDH Magazine, AAOSH, and Primal Health. She is a Fellow with The American Academy of Oral Systemic Health and in 2021 published her manuscript Alzheimer’s Disease and Oral-Systemic Health: Bidirectional Care Integration Improving Outcomes for Frontiers. Anne has consulted with Weill Cornell Medical Center’s Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic, Florida Atlantic College Center for Brain Health, and The Atria Institute under the direction of Dr. Richard Isaacson. She was included in an International Consortium of a diverse network of brain researchers, clinicians and institutions who support Alzheimer’s prevention.

You will receive the link to join the event 2 days before and the morning of. You can use either link to join. To receive CE you must log into the event as an individual not as a group. If you attend as a group under one log in we will not be able to provide CE due to tracking and attendance monitoring. Please register each team member for the event with their own email. This will be used for the Zoom link and CE distribution.
